The price of your ‘AFFORDABLE’ 5 night tour includes the following:

  • 5 nights – Premier Inn Hotel, Albert Dock, Liverpool – 3 star, twin room only
  • Premier Inn will charge two breakfasts to a room regardless of whether or not you take it. In reality it might just be easier (and possibly less expensive) to present to the breakfast restaurant in the morning and pay cash.

  • One 9 person MPV, Mercedes Vito (or equivalent) – 5 metres in length
    – Vehicle provided to carry 9 luggage items.
    – Driver(s) are included as passengers.
    – Unlimited mileage, includes VAT, breakdown and insurance
    – If your group exceeds eight, an alternative arrangement will be needed. Vehicles are supplied based on respective group size and seating capacities thereafter, with qualified drivers for larger vehicles if appropriate
  • Support and assistance as appropriate

The price of your ‘PREMIER’ 8 night tour includes the following:

  • 3 nights – Portmarnock Resort Hotel, Portmarnock, – 4 star, sea view (includes two evening meals)
  • 1 night – Portmeirion Hotel, North Wales – 4 star, (includes evening meal)
  • 4 nights – The Nadler Hotel, Liverpool, – 4 star, (room only)
  • The Nadler is surrounded by over 20 good food ‘offers’. They partner with a local bistro (60 yds from the hotel). A breakfast costs £15. To some extent, we’ve swapped the 4 breakfasts, for the 3 evening meals. It’s probably better this way round, as the 3 evening meals will be in more peripheral locations where you wouldn’t otherwise enjoy much choice

  • Up to four rounds of golf with green fees for:
    – Portmarnock Golf Club
    – Portmarnock Links
    – The Island Golf Club
    – Conwy
  • One 9 person MPV, Mercedes Vito (or equivalent) – 5 metres in length
    – Vehicle provided to carry 9 luggage items.
    – Driver(s) are included as passengers.
    – Unlimited mileage, includes VAT, breakdown and insurance
    – If your group exceeds eight, an alternative arrangement will be needed. Vehicles are supplied based on respective group size and seating capacities thereafter, with qualified drivers for larger vehicles if appropriate
  • Return ferry tickets – Dublin – Holyhead – Dublin
  • Support and assistance as appropriate

NOT INCLUDED

The price does not include air-fares, evening meals, or additional hotel expenditure such as drinks or breakfast (unless specified) etc.

IMPORTANT – The price does not include any tickets for the 2022 Open Championship at this stage. We can add these if you choose to do so, but at the early stage of an enquiry we really don’t know which days you might want to go and watch, and which ticket type (level of access) you might choose (or combinations of ticket types). We would create a quite bewildering price list were we to try and present every option, so it is probably best that we address this as a separate ‘stand-alone’ item

The price does not include caddie hire, or any golf course equipment. Such arrangements usually involve paying on the day in local currency (cash for a caddie). We are happy to arrange this at no extra cost.

The price does not include flexible hotel booking rates. Hotels charge an additional premium that permits you to cancel your reservations to a refund within a specified notice period. Should you seek this cover please notify us accordingly. It will likely cost in the region of an additional £225 for Luxury cover, and £125 for other covers

All tours and hotels sold subject to availability and final confirmation. Entrance fees to some of the neighbouring attractions will need to coincide with helpful tee times. In most cases no problems are anticipated, but should we need to, we’ll refund in cash

NON GOLF – RECOMMENDATIONS

The tour has a fairly heavy loading towards golf, which does limit the amount of non-golf activity you would be able to partake in. Should you wish to weave non-golf activity into your programme Faraway Fairways would suggest you consider the possibility of dropping Thursday’s golf at Hoylake and converting it into a North Wales touring day, perhaps spending a second night at Portmeirion.

North Wales does have a surprisingly good non-golf offer. Scenic drives in mountainous landscapes and forests, allied with battle scarred castles. You wouldn’t necessarily be losing anything if trying to incorporate these. Whereas as the castles of Harlech, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Conwy are opening time restricted, the scenery isn’t, and is only about 30-40 mins inland from the coast at places such as Llanberis or Betws-y-Coed. Alternatively of course, if your orientation is urban, than neither Liverpool or Dublin are going to let you down. In fact they’re pretty damn good!
